An Austrian specialty, also called Frankfurter or Vienna, consisting of a mix of pork and beef, lightly smoked. It’s what a hot-dog sausage made with prime ingredients looks like.

  • Cooking smoked sausages

    1. In a casserole, bring water to a simmer.
    2. Add the sausages in the water for 5 minutes.
    3. Brown the sausages on a BBQ or in a frying pan.

    Preservation of sausage

    Fresh sausages can be kept one to two days in a refrigerator.
    Beyond that period you may freeze them. Make sure to use freezer bags.
    In order to unfreeze the product, place in the refrigerator as you would do for ground meat.
